Testing

Hillman Jr./Sr. High School offers a comprehensive testing program based upon the Michigan Merit Curriculum and the ACT testing plan.  Typical assessments taken by our students will include:

7th grade              MEAP English & Mathematics

8th grade              MEAP English, Math & Science

                                  ACT—EXPLORE test (careers)

9th grade              MEAP Social Studies

10th grade            ACT—PLAN test (careers)

11th grade             MME—this will combine the ACT & the

                                  Michigan Merit Curriculum assessments

                                  PSAT (optional) for scholarships

                                  ASVAB (optional) a superb assessment to                                                    look at career & military options

12th grade            MME—retakes for scholarships

                                  ACT retakes for college entrance scores

                                  ASVAB (optional)

Eat a moderate breakfast w/juice

Bring a calculator and 2 pencils
