The teenage years are a challenging time with all sorts of new adventures each year. Topics such as test anxiety, depression, anger & frustration, divorce, dating & sexuality, violence, relationships and family issues can be addressed in the counseling office. |

Individual personal counseling |

The Hillman counseling office works with teachers to provide a series of career assessments for our students beginning in 7th grade through graduation. Career planning is the ultimate goal. Students and parents may arrange a conference with the counselor to discuss job shadowing, career research and other experiential options for their life journey. |

If you want to improve your grades, make plans for high school classes, dual enrollment or even college options, then stop by now for more information. Mr. Sumerix is available for family meetings to review progress, make improvement plans or discuss educational options. |

Students and their families often find challenges in life and need support services from the community. Through the counseling office, referrals for counseling, medical issues and even employment concerns can be forwarded to community agencies. |

I NEED HELP Learn Love & Logic!!!! If you would like to laugh at small problems, smile when you confront your issues, and learn how to better deal with people (as well as your kids), then take a look at Love and Logic. This website has helped many people by improving their communication skills with others. There are local workshops on becoming a Love and Logic parent available through the AMAESD by calling 354-3101 for more information. You may also order one of my personal favorites “the lifesaver kit” from their website. This is a package of 6 CDs which will let you laugh and learn while driving in your car. I highly recommend taking a look and making the investment.
